I thought I knew my mother. I thought she really liked drinking cold coffee, you know, making hot coffee then waiting for it to be cold before she drinks it. That’s how I’ve always seen her do it. Now that I am a mother too, I finally understand why. A mom’s daily life is so busy, she always ends up drinking her coffee cold in the afternoon, when all household chores are done.
know most of you can relate to the very busy daily schedule of a mom. We cook, prepare the family for the daily routine (kids going to school husband to work), clean up, more household chores and usually a short pause to take a bath while also cleaning the bathroom.
We just can’t do one thing at once right? Like when we take a bath, we have to maximize our time and resources (sayang ang tubig!). And even if we get advice such as stop multi-tasking, it really is what makes us who we are.
Being a mom is not easy and I know you are doing an awesome job but you know you can actually make your life easier. Even if we choose to do more than one thing at a time, we can really make our life easier by choosing the right products to use in our homes and by creating an effective cleaning schedule.
Here’s an Effective Cleaning Schedule For Moms
An effective cleaning schedule will help you in maintaining your house clean with less effort. With an effective cleaning schedule, you are assured that every aspect of your house is given the right attention with less fuss. Cleaning schedules are divided into categories depending on how frequent you need to clean. We have a daily cleaning schedule, a weekly cleaning schedule, monthly, and yearly.
How do you start planning your cleaning schedule? The first thing you need to do is list all areas in your house that need cleaning. Divide that list into 4 and that will constitute your weekly schedule. Let me share you my weekly cleaning schedule:
What should be on your daily cleaning schedule? Cleaning chores that won’t take an hour long should be on your daily schedule. Examples are sweeping the floor, quick dusting, putting out toys, making the bed and simple tasks that won’t take too much of your time.
How about the bathroom — especially the toilet bowl? We all know it’s one of the more difficult (not to mention dirtiest) tasks around the house. Quick bathroom cleaning can be done while taking a bath. Deep bathroom cleaning can be done weekly. The tricky part is achieving a clean and fresh-smelling bathroom all the time. But there’s a solution to that — try using Mr Muscle® Fresh Discs to keep your toilet bowl clean and the bathroom smelling fresh.
How to use Mr Muscle Fresh Discs
Make sure you clean the toilet bowl first before using the Fresh Discs (I also used Mr Muscle® toilet bowl cleaner).
Step 1. Slide the two pieces of Mr Muscle® Fresh Discs together so the button on the tube clicks into the
handle.
Step 2. Remove cap and position end of gel tube near the rim on inside of bowl.
Step 3. Press and hold button down while pushing unit against bowl’s surface. When button clicks into the next
hole, pull unit back to leave a gel stamp. Ensure the disc is placed near the rim where water would flow
on to it when flushed.
FLUSH! Each disc lasts up to 7 days! That is why you can enjoy a week of a clean and fresh-smelling bathroom.

Monthly Cleaning Schedule
Scheduled cleaning that is done every month includes household chores or cleaning that needs a lot of time or attention. As I have mentioned with our weekly schedule, use only 4 days a week so you can devote 1 or 2 days a week for your monthly cleaning schedule. Since this kind of cleaning needs time and effort, the most effective way of doing this is to divide it into 4.
Here’s a sample:
- Kitchen and dinning
- Bedrooms and bathroom
- Living Room and hallways
- Outside
Each one on the list gets a day from your weekly cleaning schedule. What are the examples of cleaning chores that are usually done on a monthly basis? Deep clean appliances such as the refrigerator, gas range, washing machine, oven, and electric fan. Changing of curtains, deep cleaning of carpets, and deep cleaning of walls.
Other household cleaning schedule that you also need to consider are those that is done every 4 months such as air conditioner cleaning, pest control, and deep cleaning of windows. Cleaning of roof and rain gutter are done every year. Cleaning/draining of the septic tank should be done every 3 years or 5 years.
