For someone with an OCD, FOCUS is a big big big word. It’s one of those words that’s missing on my vocabulary. In fact, right now, as I write this blog post, my mind is thinking other things too. WAIT! I’m not done yet with the reviewers.. oh my! I think I forgot to organize my pens. No, wait, are the books well aligned. I need to post something on FB..my IG! Oh noes! The photos!
STOOOP!
I’m just giving you a glimpse of how my mind works. It’s a struggle that I have to go through everyday.. but I already accepted that crazy side of mine when it comes to small details, such as re aligning everything. My one word, FOCUS, is all about my bigger goals in life.
FOCUS on being grateful everyday. On thanking God for all the blessings, specially the gift of life.
FOCUS on our finances. On panning what to buy, not to buy and how to save for things that really matters.
FOCUS on being a better partner everyday. On making my husband feel how blessed I am to be married to him
FOCUS on teaching my kids the importance of family and instilling them positive family values.
FOCUS on my blog, specially on the contents. Stay on track.
FOCUS on inspiring others, giving nothing but happiness and noticing nothing but their goodness.
my FOCUS soldier.. the symbolical hand over of duties and responsibilities.. from red to green.. from fiery to focus
This is my first time choosing one word to guide me for the year that’s about to unfold. And it took me a few blog hops before I finally decide on doing it. Tina of Truly Rich and Blessed helped me in understanding how the one word works. I wish in years to come, I’d be able to do her one word, one verse, one Saint guide.
My kumareng Badet was the one who gave me my one word. Not actually gave me.. but as I read her one word post, I realized what my word was. She’s choosing between focus and achieve . FOCUS was the first goal oriented word I wrote on my notebook planner. Since I am a strong believer of signs.. so there you go. 2016 will be all about FOCUS.
How about you? Have you tried choosing one word to guide you for a year? Still don’t what to do? Head on to Tina’s blog for her tips on choosing your one word for the year.
Don’t forget to come back here and share with me your one word! Together, let’s inspire others!

January 12, 2016 at 12:04 amI love your word FOCUS. I decided this year I would create a family word. So basically the same concept but the entire family would decide on one word. We actually all come to an agreement and our word is PRESENT> We want to be more present in each others activities and also be still enough to enjoy the “presents” (each other) that are around us!

January 12, 2016 at 12:41 amMy word is ‘Change’ – there are many that are happening to me, but my focus is on the changes I want to create in my life. Larger ones like changing where I live, re-branding several of my businesses, and smaller ones like getting more organized so I can work smarter and not harder for 2016.

January 12, 2016 at 3:19 amMy word of the year would have to be growth. We are working hard to grow our business and also grow as as a person as well. I love the idea of having a word to focus on for the year and the fresh start of a new year too!

January 12, 2016 at 9:22 amInterestingly, ‘focus’ is my mommy word to my daughter every time she and I are in a dilemma when in comes to school work. I tend to use this on myself as well when I feel the small inundates of life keep me from zoning in on what I need to do. I use visual aids too…like a vision board to achieve and keep the focus on my resolutions for the year.

January 12, 2016 at 12:15 pmI have OCD and ADD so things get really crazy over here. lol. I think I have a couple words. Change and healing. I have been working really hard on healing and I think as I heal change will happen. I worked really hard on it last year and it was hard, but I know I still have a ways to go.
