And let the stress season begin! LOL
Seriously, though this season can be really stressful, I thank heavens for giving us this break. It’s another opportunity for us to bond and well, enhance their Multiple Intelligence. Christmas break starts this weekend and as early as now, I am already planning the things that will keep them busy and happy.
1. Gift Wrapping Activity
Last Christmas, we made our own Christmas Gift Wrappers:
And this year, I think we will be more creative incorporating more materials and will be using Kraft paper!
2. Make some Christmas Socks or Snowman Socks
The tradition of hanging a Christmas sock was a tradition in our family. And according to my 3rd born, Santa Claus do exist and we need to continue this tradition. We don’t have a chimney but I am thinking of creating a “chimney” scene in our house. Their old socks would be too big for that so we might end up making new Christmas socks!
And speaking of socks, this Snowman Socks is a must try! Oh my! Now I am excited for our Christmas Break!
Here’s the link for this DIY Snowman Socks: http://diycozyhome.com/sock-snowman-craft/
3. Caroling
Would you believe if I tell you that I never experienced doing this? My lola’s too strict, we should be home by 6 PM! hahaha Sooo we’re not allowed to join our friends and sing We wis you a meri Krismas..
But this kind of activity gives your child an edge with being people smart… specially if they can trick their neighbors to give them more money for singing Christmas songs!
4. Bricks
And then after Christmas, when Christmas related activity is a thing of the past.. and the kids can’t wait for the break to be over, here’s one activity that will surely bring the brainy side of them!
A cup of bricks is a game where you scoop a cup (surprise!) of bricks and let their creativity do the job. This game can be timed or you can add 2 more cups to keep them really busy! The most creatives wins 100 kiss from mommy!
5. ExploreSandbox
ExploreSandbox is a monthly subscription box that caters to kids (o ha! hindi lang tayong mga nanay ang may subscription box!). Each box contains 3-4 activities for the kids to enjoy.
Here’s ExploreSandbox The World of Bugs box (nyaks! tongue twister! LOL). This box encourages the kids to to create their own bugs, meet some new one through bug hunting and experience how to be an insect! I am saving this box after Christmas..we’ll be doing some bug hunting activities in our province! O di mas exciting yan!
As you can see, the activities I listed here are as exciting for moms as it is for kids.. syempre, aside from enhancing their #MultipleIntelligence dapat, enjoy din tayong mga mommies!
O here’s another one that will make you happy, GIVEAWAY ALERT!
Just suggest some activities that will enhance your child’s Multiple Intelligence and tweet it!

December 18, 2014 at 9:05 pmThis Christmas season, I think two of the most fun activities that will help boost my kids’ Multiple intelligence is helping me with 1)DIY Holiday card-making – this will enhance their being creative, resourceful, and artistic; 2) Holiday Shopping – listing all pamangkins and inaanak and helping me brainstorm (WOW! brainstorm talaga LOL) what gifts to give.
Weeew very naka`excite naman! BTW, cute nung snowman, we’ll try that at home. 🙂
