We were at the mall last Thursday.. Robinsons Galleria to be exact..and after I posted our “The Face Shop” moment.. I realized that we really are malling!
MALLING. I made it sound like a big deal no? IT IS!!!!! If you have 4 kids in tow.. malling is not a word.. but last Thursday, it was if the universe conspired to re introduce me to malling.
For one, the kids are growing up, specially my 2 boys. Now, I can count on them to look after the two younger kids. No more “habulan” moments!
Another thing, the introduction Robinsons Malls Mobile App to me, made it a lot easier.
Let me count the ways why malling is not easy with 4 kids:
1. Where’s the nearest bathroom?!?
And then I go running, asking every guard I see for the nearest bathroom! And with 3 kids who’s also running and another kid screaming, “I can’t hold it anymore!!” phew!
2. Where’s that store again?
And then I walk with 4 kids in tow, looking for that particular store.. which happens to be just a few stores away from where I was but the guard told other wise.. and walked and walked.. still with 4 kids in tow.. and walked..
Or when that particular store does not actually exist in that particular mall.. yes it happened to me once and it was crazy!
3. Where should we eat?
And if you’re a walking “mall” encyclopedia, that’s not really a problem. You can enumerate all the food establishment in a particular mall, their location, down to their menu and prices! But I AM NOT LIKE THAT! So with 4 kids in tow, I “look” for the perfect place to eat.. and ask for the direction and we walked.. and walked.. and walked..
So, how does Robinsons Malls Mobile app made it easier for me?? Let me count the ways…
1. Oh, there’s that bathroom!
2. Oh! There’s that store!!
I was looking for Dasiso when we were in Galleria last Thursday.
3. Oh there’s Sbaroo here!
All these comes with a direction! Ang saya di ba? If you see a QR labels such as this:
Scan it and it will record your location and give you a direction to where you want to go. You can also put your location if you can’t find a QR label.. but that’s not likely to happen since it was strategically placed on posts around the mall. Even on parking!
Aside from my “dilemma solved” above, here are some other things that Robinsons Malls Mobile Apps can do:
- It can direct you to the nearest Robinsons Malls in your location and give particular direction on how to go there.
- Mall visitors can also record where they parked their vehicles, guided by QR labels.
- Users can also purchase Robinsons Movieworld and snacks online.
- Users can program the app to prompt them for upcoming events like concerts and mall-wide sales.
- The 35,000-plus Robinsons Privilege Card holders can also access the app so they can be reacquainted with the privileges available to them, including a list of stores offering discounts and freebies.
And to introduce the new mobile apps, Robinsons Malls will hold a caravan in the activity area of Robinsons on October 25, Robinsons Magnolia on November 9 and Robinsons Place Manila on November 30
Mallers who download the new Robinsons Malls App will receive Welcome Deals with discount coupons provided by partner merchants and freebies from affiliates in their email. As a bonus, every app download and registration is automatically qualified for a selfie stick raffle to be held every month starting November 17.
The Robinsons Malls App is available for FREE at the iOS App Store (8MB file size for iOS 6.0 and higher) and Android Play Store (11MB file size for Android 4.0 and higher).

October 28, 2014 at 7:28 amWhat an amazing app! I wonder if most malls have this? I am going to check out to see if my local mall has something. I was just thinking the other day how I really need to know exactly where I’m going with baby in tow. You don’t want to spend all day wandering around.

October 28, 2014 at 11:38 amThat is awesome that they do have an App now to help you locate businesses in the mall. They have sort of a map at the malls here once you enter the place, but that is nice that you get to use your Mobile phone. It is so handy! I have two kids and it isn’t that easy going to the mall with kids in tow, but now we just let them play first before we even do any kind of shopping.

October 29, 2014 at 12:33 pmThat is an awesome app. I usually don’t bring the son to the mall since he hates shopping. He asks to go somewhere else while I shop. LOL

December 16, 2014 at 10:29 amThis is a great app. No more walking and ending up to nowhere and still cannot find that particular store. Very convenient specially when you are in a hurry and don’t have the luxury of strolling in side the mall and asking every guard or looking for the mall map at the entrance.
