Here’s another movie post!
Last, last Saturday, we were to watch Barney’s Birthday Bash in MOA. The younger set will watch me while the older set will watch Captain America with Daddy. The most dreadful thing (for a commuter) happened… EDSA’s traffic was a snail!!! On a hot Saturday afternoon! Yikes! So, Daddy decided to go back and watch a movie at SM Megamall. We ended up watching Captain America: Winter Soldier at Robinson’s Galleria
Captain America: The Winter Soldier, takes place 2 years after the Battle of New York (aka The Avengers). Steve Rogers still work for S.H.I.E.L.D. while struggling to adopt to his new modern life. The agency was compromised and Nick Fury dies in surgery after he was attacked by the Winter Soldier. Before he dies, Nick gave Rogers a USB flash drive. Rogers had a hard time knowing who to trust but eventually he worked with Black Widow to solve the Winter Soldier Mystery and why, how S.H.I.E.L.D. was compromised
The story becomes more interesting when the Winter Soldier was unmasked.. and how he was related to Steve Rogers. Two post credit scenes (so don’t forget to stay in the cinema until the last one was shown)!
The movie… oh wow! Can I just say that I love it to bits.. obviously, because here I am blogging about it.It also leaves me questioning the timeline of each Avengers Movie. A few readings (yes I love doing that.. I actually spend 2 days reading about The Avengers and anything related to it haha) and here’s my conclusion:
Captain America: The First Avengers happened first (that’s too obvious, right?). This was followed by Marvel One Shot: Agent Carter, shows how Agent Carter was appointed (by Howard Stark nonetheless) to handle S.H.I.E.L.D.
Many many years after comes Iron Man 1 and then Iron Man 2 and then Incredible Hulk. This was followed by another one shot, The Consultant (super funny) and another one: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer. Then Thor happens, followed by The Avengers. Seven days after Battle of New York, Item 47 is on (another one shot) and then 6 months after, we see Tony Starks again. A year or less after The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World (this happened 2 years after Thor) and another one shot: All Hail The King. And if Ia m right that Thor: The Dark World happened a year after The Avengers, then Captain America: The Winter Soldier happened 1 year after The Dark World.
So what’s next with the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Avengers: Age of Ultron! (one year from now!! waah) but before that, there’s Guardians of the Galaxy coming this August.
Hey, are you a fan of Marvel? What’s your favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe movie? Don’t you wish Wolverine will be included on the one of them? I DO!!!

April 8, 2014 at 2:26 pmI don’t go to the movies very often and although I vaguely remember Marvel Comic books when I was young-or were they comic strips in the newspaper?) I doubt I would go see these since I do not have any children. They do seem to be interesting and I’m sure all children would love the action (as would their parents!)

April 8, 2014 at 2:43 pmI love watching superhero movies with my son and MrC. Since I’m the only girl, I usually get outvoted when it comes to movies anyway, so it’s lucky that I enjoy these kinds also. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that Captain America is super hot, right? Haha! We have yet to see this one, though. Maybe over the weekend.
