Frozen Birthday Party

And who said Frozen birthday party is just for girls? I get that a lot whenever I mentioned our celebrant is a boy.. excuse me! FROZEN is one of the most gender friendly movie I have seen.

Frozen Birthday Party Invitation

Let’s start with the invitation.. by now, you have noticed how much I go for personalized items, my invites are always personalized (pet peeves alert!). Our party was attended by 30+ kids, so I made 30 invites.. it’s not too personalized naman, I just made sure that their names are printed together with the invite.. not the kind of invite that leaves the name blank and you just fill it up.

The party favors.. I thought I would have a hard time looking for blue party favors, turns out, there is so much blue at the supermarket! For the loot bags, some blue candies and cookies and for the prizes, more blue!

 

Frozen Birthday Party Piñata

The Frozen inspired piñata was the snow flake from the Let It Go scene.. took a lot of editing then had it printed in tarp and used as base.. inside was a small box filled with blue candies (initially, I plan on putting some white confetti inside, to make it look like snowing, time was my enemy)

 

 For the games, we had complete Olaf face (what do you call that game??) and used the Olaf standee (supposed to be a standee but I had to stitch it to the curtains since I can’t make it stand.. standee is too expensive!), we also had Marshmallow relay and longest let it goooooooo

The music, of course, Frozen soundtrack! Non stop Let It Go! Thank goodness for our sound link mini, the music was not a problem.

 

The costume. The celebrant asked for a Kristoff costume.. Kristoff costume it is! I think I used 3 or 4 kinds of clothe to make a Kristoff costume.. it’s all worth it.. and thank you 2nd hand clothes!

 

THE CAKE

save the best for last…

as in I didn’t sleep Thursday night just to finish this cake.. and I have no background on baking, much more fondant.. but it turns out so good (er for a first timer haha). Our Olaf fondant cake is so worth it!

Because my daughters are already grown-ups, I hardly could relate to Frozen but I know the plot of the story. but I knew how it was like when kids get hooked to a movie, I remember when my kids were young, they would watch their favorite movie over and over again until they memorized all the lines. lol. Now frozen is all over the world, I could even sing it along. That is what’s good with this movie, it is gender friendly.

  44. Awwww! Looks like a wonderful time!!! My daughter LOVES Frozen. I think we have seen it over 20 times since it came out on Blu-Ray. Going to have to show her this to see how she feels about it for a theme for her 9th birthday party coming up. Thanks for the share and amazing pics!!

  45. The cake looks great! My cousin in Australia is also planning to have a Frozen themed 1st birthday party for his son and asking me to scout for souvenirs sa Divisoria, the tarp and invites will be handled by my brother naman..Nakakatuwa talaga mag organize ng children’s party! hehe

  48. I’m not a professional cake baker either. The kids love having a special cake made just for them and don’t notice the oops that we do while decorating it. My grandkids are a bit older, so I had to make a Minecraft and then a Pokeman cake. You did a great job on all the details of your party. Congratulation on a job well done.

  49. That is extremely impressive!! I love the movie frozen and now that I think about it, it would have been a really good theme for my son’s party too!! Oh well, maybe next birthday. I love the cake. I would NOT have thought it was a first timer’s work!! =)

  50. How I wish I’m this creative so that I could do this on my nephews birthday hahaha We could ask a party planner to do this for us, but of course iba ung ikaw ang nageffort gawin lahat from invitations to loot bags. And mas tipid diba, aahh so excited to plan my nephews birthday yay!!
