It’s been a while since I last sit and read a book. I may not be a book worm, but I love reading, so when I was asked to do a book review, I did not hesitate and said yes.
Of course, it helped that the author of the book, Chai C. Galapon, is also a mommy blogger (my online heart belongs to mommy bloggers hehe).
The book, Innocence In Time, talks about courage, forgiveness and unconditional love. The book tells about the journey of Tatiana Rose as she face her destiny, saving the twelve princes from different fairy tale kingdom.
Yes, the book is a twist from the fairy tales that we grew up. That is what I like most about Innocence In Time, the idea is very fresh, something that only a creative and imaginative mind can think of. If the princes needs to be saved, who imprisoned them? The evil witch of course! But who is the evil witch? That’s the most surprising part and of course, you need to buy and read the book to know who she is.
Personally, I wish Tatiana Rose is a bit younger, she’s in her mid twenties I guess. The book target market is 11 and I think the character would be more relatable to the audience/ reader if it is closer to their age (14-16 perhaps). It was a good read nonetheless and I am thinking of buying a few to give to my son’s friends 🙂
Innocence In Time is available online for US and Canada book lovers at BookWhirl.com

March 25, 2014 at 2:11 pmhmm, could the fairy godmother be the evil witch, too? or perhaps an alter ego of Tatiana Rose?(schizoprenic lang ang peg?, haha!)
This could be a great gift for my son since he just graduated from grade 6, or I could also keep it and wait for my princess to grow up.

March 25, 2014 at 2:39 pmI think the evil witch in Tatiana Rose’s life is her stepmother who happens to be her father’s queen. Just a wild guess. And if I win, I will give this to my youngest sister who just turned 18 last month. I want her to read something beautiful this summer. 🙂

March 25, 2014 at 3:52 pmWho do you think is the witch on the book? The negativity within ourselves I assume since I haven’t read the book yet.
And if ever you win a book, to whom are you going to give it? To my daughter who loves to read. She’s turning 11 and with my supervision I will help her understand the book. She loves to read also.

My guess is that the evil witch is ‘Time’. If I win a book and have to give it away (I wanted to read it, haha), I would give it to my niece who is a bookworm and loves fiction books. 🙂
