While waiting in line for our NBI clearance.. (we applied online but the whole process took 4 hours! argh!!! will post about that soon!) I thought or more like wished that someone from the long queue would start singing Let It Go and we’d all sing along.. or a surprise mob will appear to entertain the applicants. I wish we have something like that here in our country, a group of artists dedicated to entertain people in long queues, like MRT lines, NBI clearance or any other government agencies with long lines..
And today, I found out, there is a group/ organization (or company)based in New York: Improv Everywhere
Watch this video when the speaker asked the audience at Gel Conference to turn off their mobile devices:
And this is one of my favorite.. very heartwarming…
Imrov Everywhere shared in their website why they were doing this:
Improv Everywhere is, at its core, about having fun. We’re big believers in “organized fun”. Our missions are a fun source of entertainment for the participants, those who happen to see us live, and those watch our videos. We get satisfaction from coming up with an awesome idea and making it come to life. In the process we hopefully bring excitement to otherwise unexciting locales and give strangers a unique experience and a great story to tell. We’re out to prove that a prank doesn’t have to involve humiliation or embarrassment; it can simply be about making someone laugh, smile, or stop to notice the world around them.
See, it’s all about making people smile and laugh!
I really wish we have something like this here in the Philippines!
