Video games really have come a long way. From the early days of Pong to the ancient Atari systems, video arcades, and the Nintendo Family Computers of old, we’ve seen Pac-Man chase down ghosts, Mario battle Donkey Kong, Sonic run through hoops, and Lara Croft spelunking through caves. WeChat now comes with the next step in the evolution of video games.
Social media app WeChat introduces Games with its version 5.1 upgrade. Going beyond social networking and location-based functions that have made it the choice of over 272 million active users worldwide, WeChat now makes things even more engaging with its first game offering, GunZ Dash.
Let’s Play!
Gunz Dash is an arcade game which lets players embark on exciting adventures in a fantasy universe. The game lets you choose your character. I got Leo first –passionate and strong- so me! Hahaha
Other characters are including cute and clumsy Kattie and blonde beauty Nikita.
Choose your vehicle, additional gears and helpful buddies such as helpful Scarlet, lofty Cherry, or coin-boosting Husky as you go sliding, jumping, beating challenges and collecting coins:
So far, I am enjoying Gunz Dash, specially that I can customize the music and effects of the game.. I play better little sounds haha
Gunz Dasg also lets you play with your friends, dash with them and share your scores on WeChat. I haven’t tried this feature yet, still convincing my brother to play with me hahaha (he said, I’m not a good player LOL)> how does he know? Contacts are updated with your score even though you’re playing solo! That’s how he know I am not a good player.
He said I need to practice more and reach at least 50,00 score! Ayayay!
On top of Gunz Dash and Game Center, the latest 5.1 WeChat upgrade comes with enhanced features, which allow users to support the latest platforms of iOS and Android, use group messaging to converse with a regular of 40 users or join at most two sized-up group chats with up to 100 users each. This update also lets users register with an email address instead of a phone number, link WeChat to Google with Gmail Contact Integration, edit ‘Favorite Messages’ via a cloud-based storage device, clear data, and export chat history, tell stories through photos, personalized watermarks and frames via StoryCam for WeChat, and delight in new expressions—all free and localized—with the app’s new animated sticker sets at Sticker Shop.
Now truly a more personal experience than ever, video games have indeed evolved. With Gunz Dash on WeChat 5.1, you can customize how you play, what you hear, and the character that represents you, among other options you’re given. So take that plunge into the fantastic world of Gunz Dash on WeChat 5.1 right now and join the next step in video game evolution!

February 9, 2014 at 6:45 pmInteresting game. Does it require a lot of dexterity? I love games that have simple graphics and are not very frustrating (like that dang flappy bird). I might give this a try. Thanks for sharing!
