nothing beats sipping a steaming hot bulalo soup during rain days..
ahahay.. heaven on earth!
Usually, we would drive all the way to Tagayaty just to have the kind of bulalo that will make us say haaay…… the best! Husband, through the help of Mr Google, found the best Bulalo in the metro.. and it’s near our place! R&J Bulaluhan at Mandaluyong (malapit sa Club Mwah kung saan nag te taping ang banana split) . We’d dine here late at night, enjoying the lovely evening.. yeah kinda date.. daddy and mommy’s day out… er night out.. and it has been that way for a time..
For a change, we brought the kids with us.. and last week, we had a feast! (ang tatakaw lang haha)
R&J’s Bulalohan Bulalo Special
R&J’s Bulalohan Grilled Pusit
R&J’s Bulalohan Buffalo wings
R&J’s Bulalohan Fried Tawilis
Add a pitcher of Lemonade + 6 cups of rice and we’re one big happy and BUSOG family! may pa take out pang bulalo 🙂
Every time we eat there, we always wonder how they can maintain such a wide variety of dishes.. ang daming menu! as in! seafood.. meat.. beef.. chicken.. pulutan.. meryenda.. ang dami!!!! In fact, beside our table, is a place where they put the food (to be placed on the diners table) and I saw sisig, there was tacos, there was a bilao of grilled seafood, veggies, chicken etc.. there was adobo, mangang hilaw na may bagoong.. ay nakakatakam talaga!
As for the food we ordered, syempre panalo pa din ang Bulalo + Fried Tawilis… the grilled squid was quite a surprise..sweet and very tasty, the dip included added a twist of sourness.. perfect! The buffalo wings was a disappointment, BIG TIME! don’t order that. Their lemonade was great.. will be ordering that again on our next visit. Our total bill was 850 PhP.
The Best Bulalo in the Metro: R&J Bulaluhan is located at Boni Avenue, just before the circle.. here’s a map for you:
when we used to live in mandaluyong, we frequented this place!! 😀
talaga marce? ang saya!
rj’s bulalo is tasty…if you don’t mind the singing 🙂
singing? ahh! videoke!!! hahahaha
Wow! I love Bulalo. Too bad the place is just too far from my place..
I super love bulalo especially pag umuulan. Hehehehe…masarap lalo nat mainit pa ang soup.
Wow!! I missed having BULALO!! It’s been a while since the last time I had it..
Super namnam siguro nyan kaya nagustuhan ng mga bagets! 🙂
Raining a bit here now. Craving tuloy for bulalo! Pinoy food = comfort food
The best Bulalo I’ve tasted was the ones in Tagaytay and I have yet to find Restaurant that cook it just right, not superficial and full of instant seasoning. Even here in Davao City I have yet to find bulaluan that cooks it the old fashion way. Well, if I happen to be in Manila I would really like to try R&J Bulaluhan at Mandaluyong =)
wow, bulalo, kakamiss. I make bulalo but I think that eating in the Bulalohan is the best, much better.
Bila ko tuloy na-miss yung pagkain ng bulalo. 😀
One of our gimmick place when I was working in a company in Mandaluyong. One thing my officemates like here is the videoke.
oh yes they do have videoke!
Your first sentence is definitely right! Bulalo is best served during cold months like ber months 🙂 Looking forward to savor their dishes.
I have a natural love (Natural love talaga no, lol), for bulalo expecially if it is unlimited soup, nomnom! Would try to visit the place whenever I’ll be in Mandaluyong 🙂
not sure if the soup is unlimted pero they will give naman if you ask 🙂
waaaaa.. minsan nadadaanan koto e.. should visit this minsan hahaha.. thanks for the share..
i think this restaurant was one of the restaurants featured at Pop Talk for their bulalo episode. I so want to try this. Love the selection of food!! It looks like my tummy would be so happy! 🙂
I love bulalo. But I love that grilled pusit even more. Really made me hungry.
I like the grilled pusit. The popular bulalohan near our place can be found somewhere in Sampaloc, manila pero di ko pa rn kabisado puntahan.
Me and my friends love bulalo! I remember one time after getting our grades in college, we went to a bulalohan for lunch 😀
Is it easy to find and commute to this place? 🙂
yes it is.. I think any jeepney going to Boni will pass by this bulaluhan 🙂
I love bulalo…How much is their bulalo special?
ohh I think less than 500 PhP
This is definitely the definition of a feast. I drooled over the bulalo, oh my God, Im hungry now
we used to eat here on saturdays when i was still working in Makati. I love the bulalo/fried tawilis combination + I miss them badly! 😀
ang layo mo na nga! ang sarap nyan lalo pag tag ulan no.. no need to go to Tagaytay para sa bulalo 🙂
true mommy, kaya it has been ages since i went there! haha!
yup, this a cheaper alternative kasi no need to travel that far, pero the taste is just as good!
mas mainit lang sa RJs hahaha at mejo mabaho ang ambiance hahaha
