nothing beats sipping a steaming hot bulalo soup during rain days..
ahahay.. heaven on earth!
Usually, we would drive all the way to Tagayaty just to have the kind of bulalo that will make us say haaay…… the best! Husband, through the help of Mr Google, found the best Bulalo in the metro.. and it’s near our place! R&J Bulaluhan at Mandaluyong (malapit sa Club Mwah kung saan nag te taping ang banana split) . We’d dine here late at night, enjoying the lovely evening.. yeah kinda date.. daddy and mommy’s day out… er night out.. and it has been that way for a time..
For a change, we brought the kids with us.. and last week, we had a feast! (ang tatakaw lang haha)
R&J’s Bulalohan Bulalo Special
R&J’s Bulalohan Grilled Pusit
R&J’s Bulalohan Buffalo wings
R&J’s Bulalohan Fried Tawilis
Add a pitcher of Lemonade + 6 cups of rice and we’re one big happy and BUSOG family! may pa take out pang bulalo 🙂
Every time we eat there, we always wonder how they can maintain such a wide variety of dishes.. ang daming menu! as in! seafood.. meat.. beef.. chicken.. pulutan.. meryenda.. ang dami!!!! In fact, beside our table, is a place where they put the food (to be placed on the diners table) and I saw sisig, there was tacos, there was a bilao of grilled seafood, veggies, chicken etc.. there was adobo, mangang hilaw na may bagoong.. ay nakakatakam talaga!
As for the food we ordered, syempre panalo pa din ang Bulalo + Fried Tawilis… the grilled squid was quite a surprise..sweet and very tasty, the dip included added a twist of sourness.. perfect! The buffalo wings was a disappointment, BIG TIME! don’t order that. Their lemonade was great.. will be ordering that again on our next visit. Our total bill was 850 PhP.
The Best Bulalo in the Metro: R&J Bulaluhan is located at Boni Avenue, just before the circle.. here’s a map for you:

November 4, 2012 at 1:57 pmThe best Bulalo I’ve tasted was the ones in Tagaytay and I have yet to find Restaurant that cook it just right, not superficial and full of instant seasoning. Even here in Davao City I have yet to find bulaluan that cooks it the old fashion way. Well, if I happen to be in Manila I would really like to try R&J Bulaluhan at Mandaluyong =)
