If Chili con Carne is a comfort dish for me, Tacos is a comfort meryenda and my friends knows that very well. It’s so comforting that one can eat 3 or more shells in one sitting. I don’t know if it’s the taste that keeps us munching or the fact that we’re in good companies partnered with juicy chika.. I guess it’s the whole experience which makes this meryenda a favorite amongst my friend.. if people buy their friends with money, I buy mine with Tacos LOL
My Tacos is very simple.. and not even expensive.. so easy to prepare too!
- 300-400 g ground beef
- Mc Cormick Tacos seasoning
- 2 medium onions, diced
- 2-3 medium tomatoes, diced
- cabbage, shredded
- cheese, grated
- Taco shells
Cook the ground beef until brown. Dissolve the Tacos seasoning then add to the ground beef.
Let the mixture cook until almost dry then take out from heat.
Fill the taco shell with ground beef mixture, tomatoes, onion, cabbage, cheese (just half) then fill it again with the same ingredients. I think this is the secret of my tacos.. how the ingredients were placed on shell..
ENJOY!
The new recipe I am sharing is a chicken recipe.. created it as one of my entry of the Yummy Eats 2012 Hunt’s Mother-Child Cook Off (that’s another post).. it’s a very easy Chicken recipe but it’s a hit! In fact, me and friends almost finished 2 kilos of chicken wings! argh!
Here it is:
Tomato Sauced Chicken Wings Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 kg Chicken wings (sliced into two parts)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt + 1 tsp pepper
- oil for frying
For the tomato sauce:
- 1 pouch Hunt’s Tomato sauce (200 grams)
- 2 Tablespoon brown sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup water
Mix 1 cup flour + 1 tsp salt + a tsp pepper. Coat chicken.
Deep fry chicken for 8-10 minutes.
Mix tomato sauce, sugar, water and season with salt and pepper. Cook and let boil until the sauce thickens.
In a container with lid, place the chicken, pour tomato sauce mixture, cover then shake until the sauce covers all the chicken.
ENJOY!
