It was a busy week for me and most mommy bloggers would agree.. as the school starts, mommies tend to be busier. We have to wake up earlier, prepare breakfast, prepare lunch then teach the kids on the afternoon.. I have 2 kids on elementary level, so the amount of time I spend with them increases as I help them cope with the demands of the school. It’s very different when they were in pre school. The academics was a lot easier but emotionally it was harder. I ha to prepare them and explain to them why they need to stay in school and without mommy on their side. If you have a pre schooler an still having a hard time preparing them for nusery, check out Mommy Jem’s post on Helpful Tips on Preparing your Child for Nursery School:
- Train your child to eat and finish breakfast before anything else. With good breakfast, it will help them to be energize in school with good mood.
- Before the start of the class, visit the classroom or learning center with your child. While inside the room, tell him good things about the room and the things that he can expect. It will give the child an idea or familiarity of the place when he is about to start in school.
- Introduce your child to his teacher and classmates. Children always obey parents. When we personally introduce our child to his teacher and some classmates, he will remember that and may help them get along easily.
Another thing I am concerned about is that my boys would be more focused on their academics, losing interest in sports. And that’s one of the reason why I sign them up for Run United 2 500 m dash.. I want them to have a balance life, enjoying school at the same time enjoying other activities too. Our run experience from Run United was fun, specially that my two toddlers joined the 500m dash.
Mommy Levy also joined Run United 2, running for 3K. From her Run United 2 experience, she mentioned that RU2 was successful and fun and even commented on how helpful the day care was.
