I just don’t get it why they would offer reusable bags when in fact, inside their department store, when you ask your items not to be placed in plastic, they would just say it is not allowed.
HUH?!?
and they even have eco bags displayed on their counters!
I say What the F!
Come on! what’s the sense of promoting the use of ecobag when in fact the use of it, is not “allowed”..
And this happened not just once but more than twice… Hello EVER GOTESCO ORTIGAS!
Once I went there to buy some school supplies for the kid, I told them not to place it in a plastic bag, they said it is not allowed, I insist I do not use plastic bags.. the next thing I know, I am being escorted outside the department store.. FOR NOT USING PLASTIC BAGS! grabe!
Another incident and I was with my husband.. when we said that our items be placed on our ecobag, they said that they will have to tie a little plastic on the bag handle.. Hello?!? small plastics are the worst we can ever have.. you can’t even reuse it and it clogs the drainage.. hmm another ondoy perhaps?
I promised myself I will never shop on EVER Gotesco again for that matter (although they really sell cheap maternity clothes).. but then I realized, I can do something better than that.. from now on, whenever somthing like this happens, I will blog about it to raise more awarness on shopping using your own bag and saying no to plastic bags. And I hope with this effort, more and more people will stop using plastic and bring their own bag.
P.S although more and more shopping stores and fast food chain are now using brown paper bag, using and bringing your own eco bag is still the best option imo.

November 24, 2011 at 3:27 pmAng rude nila to escort a CUSTOMER out dahil lang ayaw gumamit ng plastic. They should be promoting friendly environmental practices and thank their customers who are advocating it. Tama na i-blog yan.

November 25, 2011 at 3:39 pmA lot of malls and stores are now advocating the use of eco bags, why don’t Ever Gotesco follow them? I hope they can do something about it. Ang dami ng basura ng Pilipinas, they should do their share in caring for the environment. Wag naman sana puro business ang isipin nila.
