I know it’s been a while since I promised that I will post about the Moringa or Malunggay powder that we use. oh well I was actually planning to stop by at their store at Sta Mesa to take a good look (and also to see some ATV Tires in the area) and present a good photo for all of you guys..but yeah, my schedule is not permitting.. so without further adieu, here’s my Moringa Powder post for all of you.
As you know, this product was introduced to us during the 2nd Anniversary celebration of Parentin.TV.. Zonito Torrevillas was one of the speaker during the event and she made a mango-banana shake with no sugar on it.. and with Moringa powder. Surprisingly, it tasted so good.. not a trace of Malunggay, well except for the color.. which turned green (instead of yellow).
I knew I just have to ask her about the powder. We have been using malungay as a supplement for the kids’s calcium requirement. We usually get malungay leaves on our neighbor and cook it together with the ric, hence we call it Malunggay Rice. But you know, it ‘s not always that our neighbor’s malungay tree will be abundant with leaves.. there are times that we can’t find any.. and I was really happy to learn about the Malungay powder…readily available for us to use. Yay!
The Moringa Powder is at 200PhP per small pouch, which can last for a months or more.. depending of course on your need.
And you know, aside from mixing it to your fruit shakes, you can also try on on your rice or on your dishes.. say for example you are cooking menudo, why not add a teaspoon of Moringa powder on it.. believe me, it won’t affect the taste. You can also put it on your iced tea or tea or on your coffee.
This is also my entry for Mommy Moments this week: Mommy’s Favorite product 🙂
Moringa in pure powdered form is available in Golden Café Healthy CoffeeShop at 2nd Floor SM Sta. Mesa. Golden Café serves Moringa Shake, Healing Juices, Organic Coffee, Sandwiches, Quesadilla, Wraps and Malunggay Nachos. For order call Zonito Torrevillas Tamase, 0916-551-4467 or email zonito.roadsign103@gmail.com.

October 17, 2011 at 4:31 pmThis is a great idea, I no longer have to run the Malunggay leaves on the food processor, which I do, to make Malunggay pancakes.. 😀 Now I can buy some in powder form, very convenient.
I love malunggay, ever since I started breastfeeding with my first child, I have been having it on some of the dishes that I cook.. 😀 Now that there’s a powder form, I can incorporate it in more dishes, thanks for sharing Pehpot! 🙂
I have not tried Malunggay rice, but will definitely try it out soon. 🙂

October 19, 2011 at 9:58 amHi Peh! I love Moringa Powder. If you live in QC, you can buy them at Sidcor Sunday Market in Centris Walk. Pagbaba mo ng MRT station nandun na sya. There are several vendors selling it. Mommies can also try the Moringa Citrus juice in powdered form. You can also buy it there.
