How do you sow Nutrition and reap hope? Team BIGGKAS from the University of the Asia and the Pacific knows that. Their proposal was awarded as Grand Prize from last year’s Unilab Ideas Positive T heir “Buklod Bukid: Sowing Nutrition, Reaping Hope,” concentrates on addressing the malnutrition among children in a Baranggay in Pasig City through a hydroponics gardening project.
United Laboratories started the Ideas Postive because they believe that the growing health and wellness concerns in the communities are best addressed if more people are involve with it, specially if two or more organization are involve working together in true Bayanihan spirit. Unilab seeks out on youth for their creativity, grounded idealism and sense of social purpose for innovastive solutions for the growing concerns on health and wellness in the communities. Ideas Postive also provides the youth a seed fund to turn their ideas into reality.
Unilab Ideas Postive 2011 brings another batch of innovative ideas from the youth. Out of 56 entries from over 20 schools in NCR, Camanava, and Calabarzon 11 Social Marketing Ideas were chosen as the 2011 semifinalists. Five finalists teams will then be chosen to defend their plans on Sept 18 before a multi-sector panel of judges that will pick the team that wins the seed money from Unilab.

A total of 250,000 PhP seed money to start the proposals of the winners:
One (1) grand prize team winner and two (2) team runners-up will be chosen as the Ideas Positive 2011 winners. The prizes at stake are as follows:
Grand Prize Winner
– Ideas Positive Trophy for their school
– P100,000 seed money for the implementation of their project
– P50,000 cash prize for the group members
– P10,000 honorarium for the group mentor/faculty coach
Runners Up (2):- Ideas Positive Trophy for their school
– P75,000 seed money for the implementation of their project
– P30,000 cash prize for the group members
– P5,000 honorarium for the group mentor/faculty coach
