I admit I am not a fashionista mom…my fashion statement goes something like as long as I am comfy, I can wear it.. but that changed when the little girl arrived.. If back then, it’s all about comfort, now style should be added. I have a little girl who looks up to me and in the future will imitate me and of course my style.. So now I am starting to be more on the fashion side than the comfort side (hence the birth of my fashion blog, Mom Fashionista).
For Mommy Moments this week where the theme is Fashion tip, I will just share to you some tips that I learned on my journey to be more fashionista:
- fashion need not to be expensive.. you can buy fashionable and stylish clothes in a not so expensive price, just learn to know what will look good on you and what will not.
- it helps to read a lot about fashion and style.. and you might be surprised that some of the items you wear does not actually look good on you.
- wedge are the best. It’s fashionable and yet super comfy! You can ear it all day without sacrificing your legs.
- Fashion is like a wheel, a certain style for a certain year will come back again a few more years… as for this year, it’s like we’re trying to pick up styles from the 70’s
- Boots are really great! so if you have been planning on buying one, go get one now
Honestly at hindi kita binobola, I like your fashion sense. And I think tama ka when you say you should add fashion because another girl looks up to you.
I am still in the comfy stage and thanks for encouraging me to move to the fashionable side. Grabe, nagli-lipstick na nga ako ngayon pag susundo ako kay Ayex sa school!
And yes, I recently bought a pair of boots from a thrift shop at PhP99!
I so agree, it’s you giving the shirt or pants a statement not the other way around…
I do agree with you marce about being a fashionista without spending a fortune! Iba talaga pag magkaroon ng baby girl:) Ganda talaga ng posing ni Sati, much better than ninag! Talking about wedges, you got me convinced to buy one for me:)
You both rock! I so love the first photo Mommy Peh, esp the shoes! Your little girl is so cute as well. You are right, fashion doesn’t really have to be expensive. One should only learn to creatively play with each clothing item.
Visiting from MM. Here’s my entry. See you!
I love the shoes. Very sexy tignan.
way to go marce!

Correct, being fashionable need not be expensive, sabi nga nila, nasa pagdadala lang yan..
I love wedges and boots too!
Sati really knows how to ham it up in front of the camera. Happy MM! I hope you can visit my entry, too: http://www.pensivethoughts.com/2011/09/mommy-moments-fashion-tips.html

I agree with you. Being a mommy shouldn’t limit your fashion sense on wearing just plain dusters. Mom’s should also update themselves with the latest fashion and know what suits them. Not just for the beauty of it, but also for the confidence it brings out in you.

btw, cute talaga ni Sati!
maybe I really need also to have some sense about fashion, cause I always go for the ordinary like jeans and shirt, a very typical style…
Ang sexy mo naman Peh sa 1st photo mo
You’re right, fashion doesn’t need to be expensive, nasa nagdadala yan
In my opinion, a true fashionista is someone who carries herself with poise and confidence regardless of what clothes she’s wearing.
i got my interest on wedges just this year kase i can wear it all day because it doesn’t hurt my legs + it’s fashionable : D
p.s. i like your skinny jeans!
