When I posted my article about 3 Important Things You Need To Know About Primary Complex (and other treatment tips), I have been receiving inquires. I am not an expert in the said field, but I will answer it based on my experience. Remember 3 of kids suffered from it.
Primary Complex Medicine Overdose?
What if for some reason, the mom gave the medicine twice in a day? I did it once.. or twice.. and it seems nothing happened to my kids. Blame to the anesthesia during my labor.. there are just days when I can’t seem to remember if I already gave them their dose or not.. better safe than sorry, I just had to give another one. BUT! If it happened more than twice, please do ask your Pediatrician about it.
Primary Complex is not contagious
but is there a chance that a child can be infected again? Yes. It can re occur, so the main treatment for primary complex involves knowing where your child got it. As much as possible, have the people around you be submitted to skin test and xray.
Primary Complex Medicine effect on Liver
Can it (the medicines used to treat Primary Complex) affect the liver? Rifampicin has been said to be safe to the liver.. though I have heard some news that Isoniozid can damage the liver. I still have to ask our Pediatrician and will keep you posted about it.

September 15, 2011 at 2:03 amPrimary Complex is definitely something we as moms should know about because it is quite common in our country… I’m lucky my first born has never gotten it and she’s 9 already so I think she’s in the clear.. I hope Lucas doesn’t get it too..

Can you give me your thoughts about this, sabi kse nung doc mga 6 mos na gamutan daw and im really not convinced.

September 29, 2016 at 3:34 pmHi, thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge with Primary Complex. I’m a mom of 2 kids, 3 yrs old boy and a 2 yrs old girl. My son was diagnosed with Primary Complex last Dec 2015. He loss weight, “kulani” or inflamed lymph nodes were observed and he also experienced occasional cough. Since then, he started taking up Kids Kit 2 until May 2016. But I wasn’t able to do a follow up check up after the 6 months medication. Then recently this Sept 2016, he had Flu and my pedia found out that he still have PC and was scolded since I didn’t make a follow up check up last May. Now he’s taking Isoniazid, this is for 6 months again and was advised to do some check up every 2 months now. I also give them BioTermin vitamins. My question is, what were the signs and symptoms you experienced that your child was already free with PC? What observation did you noticed? 🙂 Thanks!
