I never thought I would be discriminated because of DSLR. I think I will need anti aging product because I was so stressed out with what happened to me. Earlier, we went to Ever Ortigas to buy some stuffs and bring the kids to Mc Donald’s. So I brought my camera, a DSLR, along. When we entered the establishment, this security guard was eying my dslr bag. He point on it and ask me to open it so he can inspect what’s inside. Upon seeing it, he told me that it is not allowed on the mall. What the!?! I can’t believe it! Why is it that cameras are not allowed on malls? I think they got it all wrong. Come on, malls are now considered as a recreational place for the family. And as we all know, recreations comes with cameras to capture those happy moments. And besides, there are stores on malls that sell cameras. I don’t get the logic behind it.
Back to the security guard, I was really pissed off and then he started pointing at my camera using his pencil. I told him to stop it. And then I told them that I have been going to that establishment bringing my camera along. So they told me I can go inside the mall but I have to use the back door. I felt so discriminated that time. To think that I was already inside the establishment. He is asking me to go out and use the back door. And yes, I was with my three kids and my nephew and he does not even thought of the discomfort it can bring to me and the kids, specially. I hope nobody will have the same experience like we had.
