As I have said in my previous entry, nest week will be exam week for my kids. I don’t want this to be a traumatic experience to them so I am devising pans on how to make their review light and with lots of fun.
Ahead of them, I already studied their subjects and the topics that would be in the exam. From time to time and in between play, tickles and DS lite playing, I would ask them questions. I use their everyday toys and that includes DS lite. Who would have thought that DS lite can be a good tool for reviewing the kids. Like for example, in Language subject where they tackle polite expressions, I asked what will they say to mommy since mommy gave them DS lite? Answer comes naturally. I also incorporate Math in their playtime, like greater than and less than.
As much as possible I try to avoid the usual way of reviewing the kids. A long hours of sitting with so many books in front is not fun. Although I must admit that there are some courses that really needs this kind of reviewing, but of course I try to limit it.
When dealing with them you really have to be creative and is oozing with (not sex appeal) FUN.. That’s the only language kids understand, FUN and FUN.
more review methods coming up…
