Our first born son, Kayil, is a colic baby, not to mention my milk comes really late during his time. He was such a cry baby, scream, wail kind of baby. We would spend hours rocking him, cradling him and the moment we stopped, he would wail and scream, as if telling us we cannot sit or rest. It was a very hard experience for both of us. As a first time mom and dad, our patience and commitment to parenthood was put into test. We did not passed it with flying colors..but we did enjoyed every moment of it.
To make his little boy stop screaming Hubby would carry him and jog around the house. He would say Jog-a-log, jog-a-log..which Kayil seems to like.. And if jog-a-log won’t work, he would tell a never ending story about a priest. I don’t know where he got or if he just made it but it was really effective soothing our colic boy.
This is how it goes: (click on the pic to enlarge)
That’s our made up book for his never ending story..
Now, with Chico (and with Mico before), he says he misses doing the jog-a-log and chanting this never ending story.. Chico and Mico were such an angel during their baby time. And so, sometimes, he would carry Kayil and do the jog-a-log.
That is so cute! What a loving husband!

By the time your baby is older, your husband will have an entire book of stories to tell him from all those times carrying him around, not to mention he must be in pretty good shape by now with all that jogging. Cute story. Thanks for sharing… 🙂
