Are you looking for a place to dine out? We are not allowed to eat meat now. Do you have any idea why? Whatever, that is not this post is all about. I want Oysters! Last March, as we celebrate our wedding anniversary, we ate at Oyster Boy in Metrowalk. The kids liked it there. They never find the place boring, unlike some restaurants we have been. Aside from that, the staffs are all friendly. The food? the oysters? mixed emotions..LOL
Here are the four oyster dish that we have tasted in Oyster Boy:
Rockefeller or rockefellar.. I forgot the name because we only ordered it once. The oyster is grilled with mozzarella cheese top and some other ingredients. If you are there to drink, this one is a must pulutan. It goes very well with beer.
Grilled Oyster with Garlic and Cheese. If you are a first time eater of oyster, this one is the safest choice. The combination of garlic and cheese on top of grilled oysters is so delicious. The dish is undeniably mouth watering, but after the third time you ordered it, its magic is gone. So I guess if you ordered it in your first visit, don’t order it on your next.
Thai Oyster. Ah, this one is now my favorite! Just imagine sweet and sour, just like that, put some spice, and make it oyster. YUM! The oyster is breaded and fried, drizzled on top is sweet and sour and spicy sauce. YUM..uh oh so much yum for this one.
Aligi Oyster. Aligi is crab fat. My hubby ordered this one, and he did no liked it. I have a different view on it. If you have never tasted aligi before, the taste is overpowering. Now if you liked aligi, this menu is a must. The dish makes me dizzy because of the aligi, aside from that, I like it. It is tastier each and every bite. If you have a weak stomach like me, I suggest you eat only three. And don’t eat oyster when your stomach is empty.
Other than oyster, they have a lot other and equally delicious menu. One of our favorite is their halaan soup and crispy liempo. If you are asking for food pics, sorry guys, I forgot to take some before devouring it.LOL
