I had the chance to watch the speech of Manny Pacquiao regarding his transfer to ABSCBN as his media partner here in the Philippines. It was nothing to me, but a while ago, while watching Tyra Banks show on ETC, a flash message appeared regarding the official statement of Solar Sports about the issue. Intriguing.. and for a gossip girl like me, I would not pass the opportunity. Oh well it seems that there is a financial issue behind this. According to the lawyer of Solar Sports (stupid of me for not catching his name), Pacaman’s contract with Solar is until 2012. The lawyer also commented on the reason or the reason Pacman stated on his letter to them. That according to Pacman there was a delay on payment, but also stated on his letter that the payment was received on the 16th (the letter was dated March 17). Again from the lawyer’s mouth, the only payment that has not been delivered is Pacman’s share on the earnings of the telecast of dela Hoya’s fight, which is 5%. Which can be considered paid because of Pacman’s many advances (cash or what?).. but they are still studying the share.
Ricky “the Hitman” Hatton vs Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao will be on May 2 (MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada”>Las Vegas, Nevada). This fight is exciting because this is the 5th weight category Pacman will be fighting and the weight category where Hatton reigns. Scrap that. For me the more intriguing and interesting reason for me to watch this fight is the money issue (again and again?) behind this. Again the share is in question.. (source) like the other camp wants a 60-40 and the other offered a 52-48 but the other camp refused. LOL and then the other camp agreed on the 52-48 and signed the contract.
