As promised I would write about my favorite Halo Halo. Actually it is not my favorite but hubby’s. According to Kayil, in a particular branch, we have eaten there thrice. In Robinson’s branch, countless. Have a clue on what kind of Halo Halo I am talking about? That’s Razon’s halo halo I am talking about. Since hubby tasted it, he was kinda addicted to it. Why not? It really is delicious. Aside from that, the ingredients are simple. Can you imagine halo halo with only banana and macapuno in it? Oh yes you can, because that is the halo halo Razon’s is serving. Then there’s the ice. The ice in Razon’s Halo halo is amazing. It has an almost smooth texture and a different taste. The sweetness of the whole mixture is just right too. It won’t leave you begging for a glass of water. If there is one place that hubby wants to go right now, that would be in Gagua, the place where Razon’s originated. He just can’t get enough of it.
If you are still unaware of Razon’s, here are some places where you can find them:
Razon’s in Greenhills
Razon’s in Sta Rosa
Razon’s in Cubao
Razon’s in Robinson’s Galeria
Just be careful though, I have heard there has been a lot of imitations going on. The Razon’s that we liked most is the one that says Razon’s of Gagua.
Simplicity aside, my kids also love the halo halo in Max’s. The serving is balanced, not too much ice, not to much ingredients. if only they wold stop using carabao’s milk on their halo halo. I did not like the after taste the milk gives. For a mouth watering halo halo, have you tried Chowking’s halo halo. From the photos it really is mouth watering. The ingredients look really tasty and the glass looks like a real feast, Upon tasting it, you would wish, you ordered water instead, that’s why mouth watering.LOL
As for me, nothing beats home made halo halo. Fruit of my labor, from ice to the every last drop of its ingredients. Cooked by my bare hand, from lanka, to ube to leche flan (except the milk of course). The hard works of crushing the ice.. hehe..what more, you can choose what ever or how much ingredients you want.. beat this:
