KC Concepcion And The Sleep Scandal
My very inquisitive son asked me if I know KC Concepcion.. to tell you the truth I was a bit shocked that he knows her (note to mommy: too much TV). I pretend I did not know her and asked him more about KC. He continues that KC is the daughter of Sharon. And so I asked where did he saw KC. HE says from the show, Sharon and that these two celebrity is a star. Whoa! I asked him to describe KC and he says, she has oval face, straight and curly hair, with eyes, nose and ears and mouth. I love kids! You just don’t know when you’ll gonna burst into laughter when you’re with them. Being a playful mom, I asked him who was prettier, Sharon or KC? surprisingly, he says Sharon. It surprises because I thought he would choose KC, well she is younger (to which he says, Sharon is younger) and she is slimmer.. oh I mean she is the epitome what has been believed as pretty.. It was really surprising to know that my son had a taste taht is not influenced (yet) by our culture.. I hope he would not outgrow it..
So how about the scandal?
Well, last night, I told my hubby that I would just take a nap and then will blogwork again. My son (yes him again), says, he too would only take a nap. He did not say nap (and me too) we speak Filipino on our home, so I said IDLIP (the local term for nap). Daddy asked if he knows what idlip means and he answered, a short sleep.. here’s how their conversation went:
Kayil: ako din iidlip muna..
Daddy: ano ba ung idlip?
Kayil: e di kaunting tulog..
Daddy: e pag maraming tulog, anong tawag dun?
Kayil: (thinks) e di.. IDLIPS!
How can I just take a nap?
Kayil’s Take On Special Days
Last night I told Kayil, Mother’s day is near, so in case, what would be his gift for Mommy? Thinking for a while, he blurted out, when is BROTHER’S DAY? so much for mommy’s day…
This morning Kayil told me that he wants a piñata on Chico’s birthday.. awww.. (Mommy wants a piñata too, but, er, it is really messy)
Now for his birthday, he said he wants a party. A party with visitors, with decorations, with balloons and lots of food and cake of course. On his 4th birthday, we gave him a costume party. On his 5th we just brought him to a toy store and let him choose whatever he wants, which backfired at us. Now he said we didn’t give him a gift last year..ouch..
And the last straw, he wants us to have a wedding, a wedding church, the grand one.. OH MY..
kids are watching too much TV..
