When I started blogging, I never imagined myself organizing meet ups like the her blog off and her blog off again. I try my best not to involve myself with organizing.. I love it and I love stressing myself that much. Once I am in, I can’t get out. Me and hubby used to quarrel because of that..LOL.He never likes it when I involve myself too much. But I cannot refuse the call of stress and the challenge of it! Good thing, hubby’s OK with it, I guess as long as this little activity of mine does not involve financial matters (according to him, money brings in politics). That, politics, I cannot handle.
And so the story behind all these meet ups are simple. A fellow Filipina blogger, expat, comes home and we just need to meet her up. Just like the first meet up, Liz graced the her blog off kitakits. The one we had last August 13, Jade is our precious visitor. I’m liking this. I guess for now, Her Blog Off will cater for visiting expats and fellow Pinay blogger. So guys, if you have plans on being here, contact me.. I will be more than happy to organize a small kitakits for you (and it’s KKB as usual, so no worries).
Her Blog Off, August 13, Jade edition, was a blast. We talked about almost everything, from PR to adsense to boys to ummmm…. OK why don’t you attend the next She bloggers meet up so you’ll know. Kidding aside, the venue was in Dad’s Megamall, which is actually located at the bridge and it’s in 4th floor (I thought it was on 2nd). Call time is 2 PM. I was a bit late because Cinderella caught my eye (sorry Jade). When I arrive, Jade and Earth were already there. Then Josie and we asked for a ten sitter table. The next to arrive was Lirs (not familiar with her but turns out, I have been visiting her blog already..LOL). Niko arrived next then Fedhz with her cutey daughter YZ. Mara was with Fedhz but she has to leave early (she just drop by to see our pretty faces). I was glad Tetcha made it too, then Mye and lastly was Yami (with her kids). It was fun and great but it would have been better if everybody arrived on time (para mas maraming chikahan).
The food? except that almost everything tasted nice, it was really cheap. Dad’s Meryenda Buffet was a treat. The price of the buffet is 140 in Php and the drinks are 50% off. Imagine you can sit and eat from 3 pm to 6 pm. The food on the buffet consists of Palabok, Carbonara, Banana and Camote Cue, Dinuguan, Puto, Lumpian Sariwa, Turon (togue), Biko, Guinataang halo halo, palitaw and dimsums (siopao and siomai) and some cake slices. I love their carbonara, palabok, palitaw, guinataan..er.. basically almost all. I did not try turon and the cues and the cakes. I was overwhelmed with PALITAW!!!
One word for the meet up: ULIT
