Chico is 8 months now and I know for a fact that egg yolks is safe for babies that age. Yesterday I have him eat some egg yolks. Later that day, his face developed some rashes. Rashes started on his face, then to his tummy and spread into his arms and legs. Alarmed, we called his pediatrician and ask what is a good antihistamine for his age. The pediatrician prescription was to treat it with Zyrtec (Cetirizine dihydrochloride), 5 drops, once a day for 5 days. It seems he had developed egg yolk intolerance or egg yolk allergy (which is rare, so I hope not). According to a baby food site, that egg allergy appears when the body mistakes egg protein as a harmful substance, thus the body releases antibodies. Chico’s immune system is up and still fighting off egg proteins as he still have some rashes now. He is so red right now, good thing the redness on his stomach is gone and only some patches on his face is present. No more eggs for Chico for now..

Nursing Tops
Breastfeeding is the only way for me since I had my first bay. Back then I don’t even care what I wear as long as I can breastfeed him. Another thing about back then was I not yet that of an internet user. I am not yet exposed on things like slings, nursing tops and even chic maternity outfits. I wish I had discovered those cool mommy gadgets back then. Since I did not, I just make the most of it now.
I always thought that fashion and breastfeeding was like water and oil. They will not go well with each other. Then I discovered that I can actually make it work. First I discovered slings and then I saw nursing tops and from then on I became a designer of my own. I know how it feels when you have to feed the baby on public places, and tiring it could be specially when you have to put your clothes all together again. I am actually armed with more than fashion sense when I started designing my own nursing tops. I am armed with my experience with my two older kids. Yes, you can trust me on this one, that the tops I designed were made out of comfort and of course born with some style on it.
The tops I did were mostly from the clothes I used to wear, I just redesign and modified them to suit my babies demand. Most of them have a wide neckline or tops with buttons. I take great pride on what’s under it. These were spaghetti straps tops I had before and I have no use until now. I just cut them half and put some garters on it, and those became the foundation of my nursing tops. I only have 3 or 4 of these in neutral colors as so I can use them in every tops I fancy. I can be both now, chic and nursing..
Christmas Project
Almost every year, every Christmas, I had this little project for the holiday, two or three years ago, I made my own decors (and still usable now). Last year, I made socks for the kids (my cousins included, 5 socks all in all). Every year it was tiring and stressing, I always ended up with so much pressure to finish it before the clock strikes twelve(cramming, yes). This year, I thought I am finished with it (or so I say last year) but I have Chico (and Dylan too) to sew (their Christmas socks). And now.. hours before the “twelve” the socks are not finished yet! Chico’s sock is done but Dylan’s not yet, good thing, his mom opted for a garland design, which will be a lot easier compare to last year.
My tools…and the finished socks..
Happy Holidays!
