I have been having a lot of cravings lately.. from beef to spicy foods to green mangoes with lots of shrimp paste. Now I want embotido or tocino or any processed meat. I also want leche flan.. I want food.. The good thing is, I know how to prepare them all, the bad thing is, I am too LAZY and SLEEPY to do it. And if ever I will have the energy to prepare it, I can’t eat it. It would just end up in the sink. I throw up a lot.. as in.. almost every hour, everyday. What is WRONG with me?
Gluttony Is A Sin
Forgive me Father for I have sinned.
Last Saturday, after packing our things, my taste buds suddenly screams BEEF! and not just ordinary beef but it wants chili con carne and (take note not OR but and ) shawarma. Since MIL is here (she’s joining us on our trip) I head on to the nearest mall establishment that offers both. Just few blocks from us is Ever Gotesco. Since hubby is already there I thought it would be nice to surprise him.
Here are my sins Father.
I ordered chili con carne from Greenwich. The serving was not enough and my taste buds are still craving. I went on to look for a shawarma. The one stall where Marlon of Survivor Philippines are all over, they offer the tastiest shawarma in the place. The crew said it is owned by Marlon, not that I care, I was just curious because as I have said his pics were all over the stall. Back in the shawarma, it is tasty but I want more hot sauce please! You think I had enough? Nah, I bought some crispy flower chicharon bulaklak (pig’s intestine fried until crisp) and siomai. I was so full! And when we went home I ordered for take out, another serving of shawarma.
No wonder my diet is so ruined and my body looks like I am hiding some floaters under my clothes. LOL
Oyster Anyone?
Are you looking for a place to dine out? We are not allowed to eat meat now. Do you have any idea why? Whatever, that is not this post is all about. I want Oysters! Last March, as we celebrate our wedding anniversary, we ate at Oyster Boy in Metrowalk. The kids liked it there. They never find the place boring, unlike some restaurants we have been. Aside from that, the staffs are all friendly. The food? the oysters? mixed emotions..LOL
Here are the four oyster dish that we have tasted in Oyster Boy:
Rockefeller or rockefellar.. I forgot the name because we only ordered it once. The oyster is grilled with mozzarella cheese top and some other ingredients. If you are there to drink, this one is a must pulutan. It goes very well with beer.
Grilled Oyster with Garlic and Cheese. If you are a first time eater of oyster, this one is the safest choice. The combination of garlic and cheese on top of grilled oysters is so delicious. The dish is undeniably mouth watering, but after the third time you ordered it, its magic is gone. So I guess if you ordered it in your first visit, don’t order it on your next.
Thai Oyster. Ah, this one is now my favorite! Just imagine sweet and sour, just like that, put some spice, and make it oyster. YUM! The oyster is breaded and fried, drizzled on top is sweet and sour and spicy sauce. YUM..uh oh so much yum for this one.
Aligi Oyster. Aligi is crab fat. My hubby ordered this one, and he did no liked it. I have a different view on it. If you have never tasted aligi before, the taste is overpowering. Now if you liked aligi, this menu is a must. The dish makes me dizzy because of the aligi, aside from that, I like it. It is tastier each and every bite. If you have a weak stomach like me, I suggest you eat only three. And don’t eat oyster when your stomach is empty.
Other than oyster, they have a lot other and equally delicious menu. One of our favorite is their halaan soup and crispy liempo. If you are asking for food pics, sorry guys, I forgot to take some before devouring it.LOL
