because this is the first time that it’s going to happen and theoretically, it may not happen again.. so why not indulge on this occasion? And that’s how the tale of my four dresses came to life. This is the only time where all of them are present in the same recognition ceremony..
Kuya is 1st honorable mention, Diko is 2nd honors, Chico is 7th honorable mention and Sati is a Math Wizard! I went up the stage more than 4 times because Kuya has 2 more awards (Award in Sports and Leadership Awardee), Diko got a Leadership Award too! If I had known they’ll be receiving more awards, I would have bought 7 dresses!
Hindi pala madali ang ginawa ko!! In fairness, hindi naman talaga madali magpalaki ng apat na #MultiAchiever (related story:The Challenges of Raising Multi-Achievers)
Nakakapagod magpalit ng damit! But yeah, it was sooo worth it! And that’s what those 4 dresses is all about, this mommy is super duper proud!

So pag ganyang recognition day, lagi akong may dalang hanky kasi di man ako yung awardee, naiiyak ako palagi.

April 14, 2015 at 6:53 pmMy son is in grade 2 and I didn’t know that he will receive 4 medals this year. I don’t know with other schools but in our town, they always give medals for extra-curricular activities, maybe to encourage their pupils to be more active in different activities and events prepared by the school each school year, and maybe because of the K1-12 program. So. my son received these awards : With Honors, Kab Scout of the Year, Dancer of the Year and Band Member of the Year.
I am a proud mom, and each year that comes I always look forward to my children’s recognition day.
I am wearing a maxi dress from ‘Splurge’ , a boutique that can only be found in Bukidnon. hehehe

April 15, 2015 at 5:13 amMommy Pehpot, nakakatuwa naman that you had to do four changes in one occasion. Hahahaha. Effort talaga maging mommy noh.
I like that one of your children do not just excel in academics but also in sports. Sometimes, it gets really hard for us parents to accept that children do not always do well in graded exams – they understand but do not do very well with memorizing concepts, facts, etc. We should all learn talaga to celebrate in our children’s victories no matter which aspect it may be. 🙂

April 17, 2015 at 3:48 pmMy child Ranae graduated from prep and she got 2 special awards, Most Cheerful and Most Lovable award. I am not really fond of wearing dresses honestly coz I feel so uncomfortable. That day, I wore a gray slacks and a Natasha blouse given to me by my twin since it did not fit here anymore. Thanks to her! But last year I get to wear a dress since it was held in our local gymnasium.

April 20, 2015 at 3:09 pmTwo decades ago, I was awarded as the most behaved and most neat in my kindergarten, Last March 27, my youngest son Kyle was awarded as “Batang Mabait” and “Batang Malinis”, how cool is that?! Like mother like son 😀
Syempre kailangan presentable din si mommy buti nalang meron akong dress na nakatago sa baul, napanalunan ko lang siya sa romwe hehe. Andami nga pumuna ganda daw ng dress, akalain mo yun libre ko lang nakuha 😀
